Whether it’s a stately home tucked into the hills of the Peak District, a vintage cinema, or a laid-back garden gathering, every wedding has its own quiet poetry.
My work is about capturing the fleeting glances, the warmth of connection, the atmosphere that lingers long after the music fades. I’m drawn to the offbeat and the unguarded; to moments that feel alive and unrepeatable.
Each frame is layered with story and emotion – an instinctive mix of light, movement and honesty. Photographs that stand on their own, yet come together as something far greater: the visual memory of how it all felt.
I don’t stage or direct. I observe. I listen. I wait for the moments that matter.
If you’d rather lose yourselves in the day than pose for the camera, I’ll be there, quietly telling your story, as it truly happened.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is your style of photography?
I’m a documentary photographer – which means I’m very hands off. I look for moments that tell the story of your day and more importantly try to document the feel and ambience of being there. I’m inspired by movies, street photography and music and aim for a very analog feel to my images – even though most of my portfolio is digitally created.
Do you travel for weddings?
I’m based in Derbyshire, so shoot a lot around the Peak District and Nottinghamshire. I do love an adventure, so please drop me a line if you are further away.
How far in advance should we book you?
It’s best to get your photographer dialled in as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Especially if there’s one you’ve got your eye on. Most couples book in 12-24 months in advance.
Do you do Analog / Film Photography?
Yes – I love the feel of 35mm Film Photography and Instant film, although I do charge extra for it.
Do you take any formal portraits or group photographs?
I do – even as a documentary wedding photographer about half of my couples ask for group shots at their wedding. I like to do this quickly and efficiently so that it’s not too distracting from the day itself, so I ask couples to pick a maximum of 10 combinations where possible. It also helps to rope in someone loud and bossy to gather the relevant people for each photo!
How long do we have to wait until we see our photographs?
Your wedding photographs are usually ready about a month after the wedding
How do we book you?
We’ll schedule a chat (or a meeting if you’re local to Derby/Nottingham) about your wedding. If we get on and you’re happy with my approach to wedding photography, I’ll send out a booking form and contract and ask for a 25% deposit to secure your wedding date.
